The Silver Lining bio picture

welcome to the silver lining!

we're amy and kim.

. . . and my oh my do we ever LOVE what we do! We delight in spending your wedding day in your shadow. We create your family's first heirlooms by artistically photographing not just what you wear but how you feel.

We are fabulous friends, kindred spirits & business partners, too. We live in Columbia, Missouri. And we've been making pictures for most of our lives. Photography, for us, is a way of "savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second." [Marc Riboud, French photographer]

Our SilverBox couples want THAT kind of passion in their wedding photographer. They want authentic pictures that capture the joyous, quirky, love-drenched, laughter-filled moments of their day.

We can hard wait to meet YOU!

These days (you can pretend...

isn’t she lovely . . .

2 things I will never forget: When Paul’s parents (Mike & Kathy Wagner) first came into the room after Avery was born, Kathy took one look at Paul holding that brand-new Avery and said, “and NOW you know how much we love you” When I awoke that next morning Paul was humming/singing and practically twirling...

in the neighborhood

Just a block from our house is a gem of a little neighborhood park called Stewart Park. It’s been my kids’ favorite spot for impromptu soccer and baseball games, picnics, hikes along….or in….the creek, wildlife sightings (including a very large snapping turtle!) and leaf tossing. Elliot and I spent one warm May afternoon on his...
