Komen Race for the Cure 2011 ~ columbia, missouri

Hurray for the participants, the organizers, the sponsors and the volunteers of this year’s Komen Race for the Cure. I am so proud to be from mid-missouri! Over 4,000 runners and walkers (and tons of other supporters, including the Mizzou cheerleaders and Truman the Tiger), showed up early yesterday morning for the Mid-Missouri Affiliate’s 2nd…

our neighbors, our inspiration ~ SilverBox Photographers document Grant School celebration

kim wade and i have kids in the same school. and sometimes, oftentimes, when processing images or just talking silverbox stuff, the conversation comes around to this: we can’t imagine a school, can’t imagine a community, that would be a better fit for our children. everything we love about our town:  the optimism, the diversity,…

Mid-Missouri race for the cure ~ way to go, columbia, mo!

Mid-Missouri’s first Race for the Cure . . . by any measure, the event was a BIG success. Here are some pretty impressive facts: ~ over 300 breast cancer survivors marched in the survivors’ parade ~ over 4,000 people ran, walked, wheeled their way from start to finish (in a shirt-drenching downpour by race’s end)…

Ashley - I have so enjoyed seeing all of these gorgeous photos. I am sad that they have come to an end too. You ladies really blew me away with these. Seriously amazing!July 29, 2009 – 8:06 am

Magda - Amy & Kim & Annika, so sad it was the last installment! We really enjoyed your blog over the last week. Although we have been apart, we discussed the photos during our daily (morning for Jan, evening for me) Skype calls and we felt like our wedding day was still going on :) Thank you for extending our memories in such a beautiful day.
As said before, being photographed by you is such a unique experience (yes, better than any spa treatment!). We felt like celebrities especially with all these confused children on a trip in Wilanow, French, Italian and German groups of tourists in the Old Town, Joe persuading passers-by to stay away from us, your amazing energy and your “laughing and chatting” of course!
Over the last seven days I have been replacing my morning coffee with checking out your blog and it worked perfectly! Seeing your pictures was like a shot of caffeine, but so much healthier!
We hope that one day we will get honored to be photographed by you again!
Love,
Magda & JanJuly 30, 2009 – 3:53 am

Deacon Joe Bambenek - You did an incredible job Amy, Kim and Annika of capturing an amazing, fairy-tale weekend. Looking at the photos this past week has brought many, many smiles to my face… and I am so pleased that Jan and Magda will be able to have such treasured memories for a lifetime!

Will you be selling a DVD of the music + photo highlight show?July 30, 2009 – 11:17 am

Jennie - I have loved each installment–such joie de vivre, such brilliant colors and images. I have really enjoyed seeing each and every one. Thanks for sharing them with us!July 31, 2009 – 8:09 am
