Baby Amelia is here! She came a little early, and she’s doing great! We were so excited to meet this sweet sweet girl after taking maternity pictures of Megan & Jeff! And before that, we were honored to shoot their wedding in 2007! It has been a joy getting to spend time with Megan and Jeff during their family milestones AND it’s utter, pure joy to meet Amelia. Welcome to the world, baby Amelia!

oh, and one more thing! We couldn’t explain the significance of the Amelia Earhart train case Megan & Jeff were carrying in the pictures of their maternity session earlier on our blog, because they wanted to keep baby Amelia’s name under wraps until after she was born . . . but now the word is out. The train case was an inspired purchase: Megan & Jeff knew they wanted to name their daughter Amelia and discovered this train case on ebay! Apparently, luggage with Earhart’s endorsement was manufactured for about 60 years, even after her disappearance, and you can find these vintage pieces on ebay, etsy, thrift stores, etc. Check out this brief history of Amelia Earhart luggage if you are intrigued. Do you remember the train case from our maternity session? Well, here it is again! Megan and Jeff brought their Amelia Earhart train case. This is the very case that cemented the spelling of baby Amelia’s name. What a great story!
