the word for the day: dramedy. that’s my life. i just saw it on wikipedia. not my life; “dramedy” ~ surely i’d heard it before, but guess i’d forgotten about ol’ dramedy. the word was almost FLEISCHMAN because tycho (our 8 year old who now wears glasses!) says “fleischman” so darn cute. why does he…

it’s never easy leaving paradise. [--sigh--] this morning paul and i say goodbye to heavenly weather (and our wonderful host! and her Beloved) and fly north toward that freshly fallen midwestern snow . . . if i’m productive on the plane, i may have a slideshow to upload soon, but just in case we’re a…

Those shots definitely brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful couple, what an amazing place, and what a fantastically talented photographer! Amy, I’m so glad we know you! You bring such joy!!!December 1, 2008 – 1:30 pm
Amy, once again I am left in awe of your talent. You capture such personality and feeling in your photographs and these pictures of Mary and her betrothed are nothing short of perfection. Congratulations on yet another job well done!
Love you,
DestinyDecember 1, 2008 – 4:46 pm
Hi Amy!
I did not tell you that I produced & managed photo shoots for years for Atlantis, Paradise Island (my past life before opening the Coffee House). I have to say that you are incredibly talented. I love your style. And what you are able to capture and evoke all in one shot. Amazing. I would have hired you for lifestyle shots if I had known of you. At any rate, I have forwarded your gallery with the highest recommendations to the person who took my job when I left… and some other people I know. Keep doing what you do.
Mary just got on the ferry and she is still smiling and thrilled about her photo shoot. That is one HAPPY bride-to-be!!
Blessings.

Amy, these are just gorgeous! Love them.December 2, 2008 – 10:08 pm
WOW! Your photography is amazing. I’m a friend of Mike Saou. Your colorization and quality is awesome. What are you shooting with? I shoot with a D80, but your coloring is beautiful. Is it the settings, or what you do in the editing process? Absolutely beautiful.December 6, 2008 – 6:45 pm

Here’ a discovey thanks to Terzo tapas: BEETS….beets are a real vegetable ~ that vinegar thing and wacky color…just some midwestern deal I suppose. And then,…

oh Amy….OH AMY!!!!! WOWIE, ZOWIE!! You are just so talented. That’s the funnest 20 minutes I’ve had in awhile—reading the post, watching the slideshow. Dang, you are good! Non-photographer people reading this: a LOT of these shots are not easy to get right. Amy, you are an inspiration. And what a good lesson for a new blogger (me) on how to write an interesting blog post. sheeesh, you are putting the rest of us to shame, girl. I am so glad to know ya!

oh how WONDERFUL to be shooting again….like so much in this part of the country, photography here (at least out-of-doors photography) can feel downright seasonal. and though today it’s a 20 degree day, YESTERDAY it was a blustery 70 (whoot!-WHOOT!!) we met up the Governor’s Gardens in Jefferson City knowing that there would be a…
